Review: Self-Care for the Real World by Nadia Narain and Katia Narain-Philips

I'm totally biased with this one as I treat many of Nadia's pregnant yogis and teach on her teacher trainings. Katia's food is equally impressive and great as a pit-stop before and after seeing clients at Triyoga.

This is a gem of a book. It's friendly and inviting and makes self-care simple. It's the result of years of experience and yet it's distilled into such practical information. A great one to read from cover to cover or to flick to a page and imbibe all the goodness. It's forgiving and inspiring at the same time.

Self-care is something that can feel aspirational or unrealistic. This book is the culmination of years of experience and personal development. It's for everybody. It doesn't matter if you have bundles of time to take care of yourself or are busy, busy. It doesn't matter if you are working, or a stay-at-home-parent. It doesn't matter if you are cash-strapped as many of the tips are free or cheap and the ingredients are easy-to-access too.

Seeing images of the front cover awash on Instagram feels like a sea of self-care spreading. It's great to see 'Self-Care for The Real World' out in the world and I hope more and more people get the message of being kind to themselves.
